The Pico de las Nievas is the highest mountain and forms the centre of the isle. This massif of numb lava (up to 1950) is partially green with semitropical and very fertile valleys. In the west and the north you can find a stunning steep coast, while dune-like wild sceneries and long fine sandy beaches can be found in the south.
